Volunteering

Agenda

Objectives and methodology of the training

During the training, participants will receive General theoretical information about what volunteering is, who is a volunteer, the main types of volunteering, etc.
The training will increase the awareness of participants not only in theoretical knowledge on the subject of volunteering but also their practical skills to work with volunteers and building a volunteer teamwork and conduct volunteer actions and other activities.

The objectives of the first block of training are: to introduce the group to the topic of volunteering. Each of the participants has experience and personal perception of volunteering. To build effective work, we as a coach set ourselves the first task:
-For the beginning of work and effective interaction of all participants, exercises on acquaintance are planned;
-Immersion in the topic of volunteering, identification of knowledge of participants and study of their personal experience on the subject of volunteering, through exercises, to identify associations on the declared subject.
The methods of work in the group, individual work and presentation will be applied, these types of work within the framework of the training allow the participants to be fully disclosed, as well as to effectively master new information.

The second task of the block is:
The study of the interaction between volunteers and members of the organization, the boundaries of permissible relations and rules of behavior. And also, what roles can and should be performed in the team, which of these roles can be performed by volunteers.
In order to see in practice the personal position during the teamwork, participants will be offered an exercise in which their effective work and consistency depend on how effectively they cope with the tasks.
Also, in order that after two blocks of training participants could get not only knowledge but also practically support them, it is effective and expedient to build a second block of training with the aim of developing their own, individual or group volunteer initiatives and creating an action plan. Thus, within the first block of the training, participants will be given the task to prepare a plan of the desired event (tools for planning activities will also be demonstrated within the first block), which in the next block we will discuss and finalize together. Thanks to this, each participant will have a ready-made plan, within which he will be able to apply the knowledge gained during the training, how to work with volunteers and how to organize volunteer projects.
