On September 19 the meeting of the project coordinator GaMCon in Gagauzia Furtuna Dmitriy with the Director of the Agency of Regional Development ATU Gagauzia Valeriy Yanioglo was held. Participants of the GaMCon Working Group “Regional Development” and representatives of the GIZ office were also present.

As the project GaMCon is an open platform for discussion on most important issues in Gagauzia for civil society and authorities of ATU Gagauzia the main aim of the meeting was to bring together all interested stakeholders in the field of tourism and to work more effective.

During the meeting the opportunities for the development of the tourism industry and prospects for cooperation between the Agency of Regional Development and the GaMCon project were discussed. As one of the main area of further cooperation the development of the Sectoral Regional Program for the Development of Tourism in Gagauzia was discussed.
