Учебная поездка в брюссель

Отчет

On June 17, the study tour continued in Brussels and was accompanied by an educational and cultural visit to the House of European history, where we saw a huge and very structured Museum. This is an amazing place where you can plunge into the history of the European Union in the form in which we see it today. European countries have gone through a very complex and diverse history. There is a place for revolutions, communism and democracy, war and fascism, the life of the common man and great achievements – all this changes your attitude not only to the EU but also to your country as well.

The second part of the day was devoted to one of the main legislative bodies of the EU – the European Parliament. This institution is called the most democratic institution of power not only in Europe but also in the parliamentarian history. We had a unique opportunity to meet with members of the European Parliament from Slovakia and Romania, Eduard Kukan, and Christian Given Predoi. We talked about various problems, including the problems of Moldova’s integration into the European Union. This conversation was very open and interesting. First, we heard the position of the Deputy from Romania, who called the position of Moldova on the issues of integration into the EU – without a market. He noted that the Moldovan authorities are not taking concrete steps for the real integration of Moldova into the EU. Secondly, there are many internal problems in Moldova that we should fight more actively and, unfortunately, the Republic of Moldova has no great success here. The conversation was dynamic and moved from one language to another, there were pressing issues and issues related to the activities of the Parliament. The deputies patiently answered the questions and stressed the importance of such meetings, as it allows people from Moldova to learn more deeply all the processes that take place in the EU.

An interesting meeting with the Director of EUROACTIV – George Gotev was also held. Participants learned about the activities and role of this media in Brussels and, directly, in the world. This information resource has a very interesting editorial policy. It felt like they were talking freely about how they felt like a real fourth estate. Respect them, they can criticize even their sponsors, etc. This is a great achievement and an example of the real work of journalists.

We also had the opportunity to learn about the work of the European Commission, where we had a meeting with Mr. Strohal-a representative of the NEAR C1 block of Georgia, Moldova and the neighborhood of cross-border cooperation in the European Commission. He told us about the role of the European Commission and the principles of work. On the results of our diplomatic mission to the EU and the financial assistance provided to our country. The members of the group actively expressed their views on the situation in the Republic of Moldova and the problems they are interested in. In particular, the issues of education, business development, and other relevant issues were raised.

The final visit took place in the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Moldova in Brussels, where our group met with the Deputy Ambassador of Moldova, who told them about the work of the Moldovan mission in Brussels, about the citizens of the Republic of Moldova who live and study in Brussels. Important issues of Moldova’s integration into the EU and prospects of development of relations between our countries were touched upon. The meeting was very informative and long in time, as the issues were raised very different and wide. Starting with the issues related to the freedom of the press and ending with the next elections in the Republic of Moldova.
